Brand Overview
FrostPeak Creamery makes small-batch ice cream with short, pronounceable ingredient lists and chef-inspired flavors. We focus on slow-churned texture, responsibly sourced dairy, and standout swirls that feel indulgent without fuss.
Value proposition
Restaurant-quality flavor in a pint, clean labels, rich texture, and memorable mix-ins.
Audience & personality
Food-loving shoppers and families seeking premium treats. Personality: warm, modern, honest, and a little adventurous.
Creative direction
Create a cohesive packaging system for paperboard pints and lids that reads instantly in the freezer aisle and online. The look should be minimal yet expressive, anchored by one unmistakable visual device that scales across flavors while keeping the master brand dominant.
Brand colours
| Swatch | Name | HEX | Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| ▉ | Alpine navy | #1F2D3A | Wordmark, headlines, key dividers |
| ▉ | Cream snow | #F8F4EE | Primary background panels |
| ▉ | Berry glaze | #C04A5A | Flavor family A accents (fruit) |
| ▉ | Cacao ridge | #7A523F | Flavor family B accents (chocolate/nuts) |
| ▉ | Pistachio crest | #7DBA8A | Flavor family C accents (herb/nut/green) |
Maintain AA contrast on Cream snow. Use one accent hue per flavor for instant recognition. Avoid neon/overly bright shades that shift in cold lighting.
Brand constraints (must-haves)
- Brand name “FrostPeak Creamery.”
- Principal display: flavor name, key descriptors (e.g., “Madagascar vanilla with bean specks”), net contents (e.g., 1 pint / 473 ml).
- Back/side: Nutrition Facts, ingredients (descending by weight), allergen statement (e.g., Contains: Milk, Tree Nuts), manufacturer/distributor info, barcode, lot/best-by zone, storage cue (Keep frozen).
- Claims only if substantiated (e.g., rBST-free dairy). Limit to one primary and two secondary callouts.
- System must work on direct-printed paperboard tubs and pressure-sensitive lid/side labels for short runs.

Production notes (tubs, lids & finishes)
- Substrate: Poly-coated paperboard suitable for freezer; specify board caliper for rigidity and lid fit.
- Finishes: Matte AQ or soft-touch with scuff-resistant varnish; avoid heavy floods at seam to reduce cracking.
- Condensation: Keep live text ≥4 mm from rim/roll and seam; minimum font size 6 pt; no strokes < 0.4 pt.
- Alignment: Plan for ±2 mm print/assembly tolerance at the seam—avoid critical graphics crossing the join.
- Short runs: If using PSL, select freezer-grade adhesive and film; confirm adhesion at −18 °C.
- Operations: Reserve unobstructed panel for lot/date inkjet and a QR linking to sourcing and scoop tips.
Do / don’t
- Do make flavor identification instant via a single accent color and succinct descriptor.
- Do test legibility under freezer glare and through frosted doors at 2–3 meters.
- Don’t crowd the front panel with claims or dense copy.
- Don’t rely on photo textures that muddy or band on coated board.
Success criteria
Recognizable as a family from a distance; unmistakable flavor cues; compliant labeling with scannable barcodes; clean print across direct tub print and label variants with minimal rework.
Tone of voice
Warm, confident, and appetizing, chef-curious without pretension; clear without jargon.
