Brand Overview

SnapSpice is a line of single-origin and signature-blend seasonings sourced from smallholder farms and milled in small batches for maximum aroma. We focus on traceability, fresher grind dates, and clear cooking cues so home cooks can plate better flavor, fast.

Value proposition
Fresher spice, brighter flavor, transparent sourcing with blends that make every dish snap.

Audience & personality
Busy home cooks, food-curious shoppers, and meal-prep enthusiasts. Personality: bold, trustworthy, modern, and kitchen-friendly.

Creative direction
Create a cohesive packaging system across glass jars with sifter lids, resealable stand-up pouches (refills), and an optional counter display carton that reads instantly on shelf and online. The look should be minimal yet punchy, anchored by one unmistakable visual device that scales across spices and blends while keeping the master brand dominant.

Brand colours

Maintain AA contrast on Parchment; use one accent hue per SKU for instant recognition. Avoid neon tones that shift under warm retail lighting.

Brand constraints (must-haves)

  • Brand name “SnapSpice.”
  • Principal display: spice/blend name, net weight (oz / g), and a small heat/usage cue (e.g., Mild/Medium/Hot or “Great on veg & eggs”).
  • Back/side: ingredient list (descending by weight), country of origin or “multi-origin” note, best-by/lot code, manufacturer/distributor info, barcode, and allergen statement if applicable (e.g., Processed in a facility that also handles…).
  • Nutrition Facts only where required by market/pack size; otherwise optional.
  • Tamper evidence required (shrink band or induction seal).
  • System must work on wrap labels for jars and high-barrier refill pouches; both must survive grease and humidity.

Production notes (jars, labels, film & display)

  • Jar labels: Oil- and moisture-resistant film (PP/PET) with permanent adhesive; minimum live text 5 pt; avoid strokes < 0.4 pt. Reserve top clearance for shrink band.
  • Pouches: High-barrier film suitable for aroma retention; matte or soft-touch optional. Keep live text ≥3 mm from zipper, seals, and notches; nitrogen flush compatible where used.
  • Color & traps: Avoid heavy gradients that band on film; verify barcode contrast on textured boards and films.
  • Operations: Unobstructed zone for lot/best-by inkjet; optional QR linking to farm story and recipe ideas.

Do / don’t

  • Do make spice/blend differentiation instant via a single accent color and concise usage cue.
  • Do test legibility on curved glass, glossy films, and under warm store lighting.
  • Don’t crowd the front with claims, limit to one primary and two secondary callouts.
  • Don’t rely on busy photo textures that muddy at small sizes.

Success criteria
Recognizable at 2–3 meters and compelling at thumbnail size; consistent master brand with unmistakable SKU cues; compliant labeling with scannable barcodes; clean print across jars, pouches, and PDQ displays without rework.

Tone of voice
Bold, clear, and helpful, chef-curious without jargon; practical without losing flavor.
